Gina Abeita
Studio Assistant
Creativity and design has always been an outlet and passion for Gina.
Born and raised in New Mexico, she graduated from the New York Institute of Art and Design. As a kid, she would constantly rearrange her bedroom and even created floor plans and furniture plans for all the possible arrangements she could have. This led her to helping her parents design and build their second home.
As a mother and wife, Gina knows how important it is to come home to a place that is comfortable, memorable, and functional for a family. She loves to transform a home to reflect who her client is.
Go-to style: A mixture of clean lines, glossy accents and wood elements with more sophisticated modern design elements.
What drives her to design: The spaces we surround ourselves in tend to have an impact on our moods. As a designer, Gina believes that she can use her creative talents and passion for design to transform a client's dream into a reality.
What she loves most about design: That for every client, there's a different style. She loves to work with such a variety of styles and incorporate personal touches into her designs.

Spatial Harmony to the Rescue! My husband and I were in the process of building a new home in Corrales. The home is under construction, and I have not selected a single fixture or paint color. I don’t even have a theme! In walks Marisa. Marisa expertly talks me off the ledge and begins scheduling appointments with key vendors so that we can begin to choose all of the fixtures and finishes for our new home. After several meetings with top notch retailers in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, I had every detail selected and materials scheduled for delivery. The finished project is AMAZING! My only regret is that I didn’t consult with Spatial Harmony from the very beginning of the project. Your knowledge and expertise saved the day and helped me create the beautiful house we now call home. Thank you Marisa.

We met Marisa, initially, in August of 2020, before we had fully completed the design of our new home. She was completely transparent with her fee structure and was very open with us about how we could engage her services in the selection process of all interior elements. Marisa quickly understood our design vision: a rustic, simple, utilitarian, yet modern interior for our Northern New Mexico style home. She actually assisted us with our home’s final design iteration before construction began. Marisa was with us during the selection process of all interior elements: cabinetry, doors, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, flooring, countertops, bathrooms, mirrors, granite, colors and more. She worked directly with us, the vendors, and our builder’s representative, to assure that all selections flowed together seamlessly to create a harmonious visual flow throughout the house. (Hence, her designing trademark ‘Spatial Harmony’). Marisa often made cost-conscience suggestions. She also made herself available at the build site during the start of every new phase to help assure our design ethos was being achieved. When our home construction is complete, we will definitely continue to utilize her services in selecting window coverings/furnishings and more! We would highly recommend you consider including Marisa in your building journey.
